Dr. Lauren Sowash is a Kansas native who grew up in Overland Park. She attended college in Atchison, Kansas, and went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Arizona College of Optometry. After practicing in Denver, she returned home to be closer to family and serve the community she grew up in.
Dr. Sowash has been practicing optometry for over 10 years and is passionate about the connection between eye health and overall health. Her interest in eye care began after seeing her great-grandmother experience vision loss from macular degeneration, and she values being able to provide care with the many treatment options available today.
She especially enjoys primary eye care and building long-term relationships with families, caring for patients year after year.
Outside of the office, Dr. Sowash is involved in volunteer programs through her church. She and her husband, who is also an optometrist, have two young boys and a goldendoodle who keep them busy. In her free time, she enjoys running and taking care of her plants, while also keeping up with the energy of her kids and dog.
