Where It All Began
An Optometry Practice Built For the Right Reasons
Blue Valley Vision of Overland Park started with a simple introduction (and a lot of coffee). In 2015, Dr. Jayme Fose and Dr. Evan Strong were introduced by a contact lens rep who thought they’d work well together. Before opening an eye care practice, they spent months meeting and talking through how they wanted to care for patients, run a team, and build something that felt different. That time mattered. It’s the reason this practice was built with a clear focus from the very beginning: take care of people first, always.
Growing with Purpose
What started as a small practice quickly grew because of that focus on personalized care. In 2020, during a time when most people were pulling back, the practice expanded into its North location (135th Street). It was a big step, but it allowed for more space, better technology, and the ability to offer more advanced care. Today, we’ve grown into a two-location practice.

One of the things that makes our practice unique is that we offer two distinct experiences while maintaining the same level of care at both locations. Our South location (151st Street) is family-focused. It’s the kind of place where you feel comfortable right away and where relationships matter.
Our North location (135th Street) focuses on advanced care, with specialized services and technology for complex vision needs. It’s a little more elevated, a little more tech-forward, but still grounded in the same patient-first approach.
