Dr. Evan Strong is a proud Kansan, raised in Auburn, Kansas. He studied Biology at the University of Kansas before earning his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Missouri–St. Louis. He has been practicing optometry for over a decade and continues to expand his knowledge in both medical eye care and patient-centered practice management.
Dr. Strong is passionate about helping patients improve their vision and overall quality of life. One of his most meaningful experiences was traveling to Jamaica on a medical mission trip, where he helped provide care to individuals without access to modern eye care.
He has a strong interest in medical optometry and is experienced in diagnosing and managing conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease. He also enjoys fitting specialty contact lenses, including scleral lenses, for patients with more complex vision needs.
Throughout his career, Dr. Strong has been recognized with several honors, including the William Feinbloom Low Vision Award and induction into the Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society. He also earned the rank of Eagle Scout.
As a co-founder of Blue Valley Vision of Overland Park, Dr. Strong is committed to providing thoughtful, patient-first care. His faith and family are central to his life, and he brings those values into the way he cares for patients and leads his team.
Outside of the office, he enjoys fishing, traveling, especially when it involves fishing, and spending time with his wife and three children.
